Learning through experience gives learners the opportunity to explore and enrich their inquiry which creates adventures that are embedded in their memories for a life-time. There is no better education than one that has been experienced. As Benjamin Franklin rightly said “Tell me and I forget, teach me and I remember, involve me and I learn”.
Field trips are a unique way that connects learning with real-life practices. The sensory, physical and social aspects of field trips help students to appreciate their learning more. Field trips also allow learners to engage with contents and concepts in a variety of ways. It enables the facilitator to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world challenges that may be left out of the regular curriculum. At the academy, field trips are well planned, fun, and informative.
